Revolving Bowl Sanding Kit

This bowl sanding tool allows woodturners to leave a surface on a bowl, platter or goblet without any visible sanding marks, prior to adding a finish. The rotating sanding pad is driven by the rotation of the lathe, eliminating the unsightly lines often associated with traditional hand sanding. As you work through different abrasive grits, starting with the coarse grit and applying light pressure, you can achieve an ultra smooth surface ready for the finish of your choice. The rotational motion also reduces the clogging of the abrasive to further enhance the finished surface.

The 300mm long handle is ergonomically designed to allow for optimum grip and comfort and is made from a slow growing beech that has been selected for its straight grain, to ensure maximum strength. The head of the tool can be angled to any position in order to achieve optimum access and self-locks firmly in position once the desired angle has been set. The sanding pad screws on to the head of the tool and freely rotates on a sealed for life linear bearing. Three Velcro backed, sanding pad heads 30mm, 50mm and 75mm are supplied along with 12 mixed grit aluminium oxide abrasives.
